I just did. Today. For the first time.


I loved it!


Have you ever eaten pomegranate, and if you did, how did you like it?


I think it appears in fairy-tales as the fruit of eternal youth - is that so? What story - Alladin?


It is also said to be the forbidden fruit of Eden. Pomegranate and not apple?

Ever eaten pomegranate?
Yup, I love them! I know it appears in the story of how Hades kidnapped Persephone and took her to the Underworld. While there she refused to eat anything until Hades gave her a Pomegranate (or the seeds depending on the source) which she ate and because of it had to stay in the Underworld 9 months out of the year.
Reply:Pomegranates are yummy. The pomegranate is the fruit that kept Psyche (I think) the bride of Hades for 6 months out of the year in mythology.

Reply:yep, I used to eat them when I was in junior high school. They were absolutely delicious. I really have no desire to eat them now ..... a bit too messy. But its great that there are so many juices now that are pomegranate based.

Reply:as a kid i use to pick them off neighbors trees in calif and eat them. they sure are messy! i hear the juice is really good for you = but expensive!
Reply:Yes! I love pomegranates. They tend to be expensive so i eat them as an occassional treat rather than all the time. They're messy, but delicious!
