Do you know that pomegranate juice daily-?

can stave off-hardening of the arteries?-and may even reverse it-.A recent study found-the juice reduced the rate of cholesterol plaque build up by 30 percent, and heart cells treated with the juice-showed a 50 percent increase in th production of- nitric oxide-a substance that helps fight plaque. More than 130 pomegranate products were introduced in 2006 -so if you dont like juice- there are plenty of other tasty ways to take it.Good luck.l for one-am going to try it.

Reply:So would a glass or two of red wine. Pomegranate juice upsets my stomach and bowels.
Reply:yeah, u r absolutely right. Pomegranate is good when taken in its fresh raw form, rather than as a juice. It brings down cholesterol, increases haemoglobin content in the blood and is really really good for the heart and its arteries. It also improves eyesight, complexion and overall well-being. Thanks for spreading the healthy news to our Yahoo! Answers community. Happy juicing and tasting!!
Reply:i love pomegranates!! they also have healthy antioxidants. pomegranate tea is really good too! and all of the POM products.

Reply:Were these studies in reputable medical journals?

I doubt it.

As for the # of products introduced last year, companies introduce products to make money.

BTW, nitric acid does NOT "fight plaque".
Reply:it also has a higher antioxidant than green tea and red wine.
Reply:Costco now carries this 100% pomegranate juice. thanks for sharing.
Reply:But did you also know that too much of a good thing is bad?
Reply:It's become a favorite of mine. I buy a juice that is blueberry and pomegranate.
Reply:no i didnt....
Reply:Interestng. But my question is, how do you eat a pomegranate? All of those seeds are in the way and it's hard to pick them out without chunking out the pomegranate too.
